Fresh, Bold & So Easy

You know that salsa they bring to the table at your favorite Mexican restaurant—the kind you cannot stop dipping into before your meal even arrives? This is that salsa.

Fresh, vibrant, just the right amount of kick… and the best part? You can make it right at home in minutes. Around here, this is one of those “always in the fridge” staples. It goes with everything—tacos, eggs, grilled chicken… or honestly, just a bag of chips and a good movie.

And let me tell you, there’s something so satisfying about taking simple, fresh ingredients and turning them into something this flavorful. It’s a little reminder that good things don’t have to be complicated.

This restaurant-style salsa is smooth, fresh, and perfectly balanced with bright lime, a little heat, and that classic hint of cumin. It’s quick, easy, and tastes even better after it chills.

Ingredients:

• 6 roma tomatoes, ends cut, quartered

• 2 garlic cloves

• 1 cup cilantro

• 1 jalapeno, seeded and membranes removed for less heat

• 1 serrano pepper, seeded if desired (optional)

• 1 lime, juiced

• 1/2 large white onion, quartered

• 1/2 tsp salt

• 1/2 tsp ground cumin

How to Make It:

  1. Add all ingredients to a food processor.

  2. Pulse until your desired consistency is reached (smooth or slightly chunky).

  3. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.

  4. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy.

• For that true restaurant flavor, don’t skip the cumin—it makes a difference.

• Want it spicier? Leave some jalapeño seeds in or add the serrano.

• Let it chill in the fridge for 1–2 hours before serving—flavor gets even better.

• If it tastes too sharp, add a pinch more salt or a squeeze of lime to balance.

• This also works great as a topping for tacos, eggs, or grilled meats.
