There’s just something about a cold, refreshing drink on a warm Tucson afternoon that feels like a little blessing in a glass. Once the sun starts shining a little longer and the air warms up, I find myself reaching for something light, citrusy, and just a little special—something that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment.
This Mint Fruit Tea has become one of those quiet favorites in my kitchen. It’s not fancy, it’s not complicated, but it feels like something you’d serve when family comes over and you want to make them feel cared for. I’ve made this for everything from Easter brunch to just sitting outside with my daughter, watching the day wind down.
It reminds me of how God refreshes us in the middle of busy seasons. Just like a cool drink on a hot day, His presence has a way of bringing peace right when we need it. Isaiah 58:11 says, “The Lord will guide you always… you will be like a well-watered garden.” And honestly, this tea feels a little like that—fresh, bright, and life-giving.
This Mint Fruit Tea is a beautiful blend of citrus and fresh mint with a smooth tea base. It’s lightly sweet, super refreshing, and perfect for serving over ice on a warm day.
Ingredients:
• 2 long stems mint
• grated rind of 1/2 lemon
• grated rind of 1/2 orange
• 4 tea bags or 2 Tbsp loose tea
• 2 cups boiling water
• 1/3 cup sugar
• 3 3/4 cups cold water
• juice of 1/2 orange
• juice of 1/2 lemon
• lemon & orange slices, for garnish
• mint sprigs, for garnish
How to Make It:
In a heatproof pitcher, combine the mint, grated lemon rind, orange rind, and tea.
Pour boiling water over the mixture and let it steep for about 10 minutes.
In a separate large pitcher, add the sugar, cold water, and fresh citrus juices.
Strain the steeped tea into the large pitcher and stir until everything is well combined.
Chill in the refrigerator until nice and cold, then pour over ice.
Garnish with lemon slices, orange slices, and fresh mint sprigs for that beautiful finishing touch.
Serve it in a clear pitcher if you can—those citrus slices and mint leaves make it look just as good as it tastes!
• If you like it less sweet, start with less sugar—you can always add more later.
• Fresh mint makes a big difference, but you can gently bruise it to release more flavor.
• Let it chill fully before serving—the flavors deepen as it sits.
• This is perfect for gatherings—just double the batch and you’re set.
• Add extra citrus slices right before serving for that fresh, pretty presentation.
