These Red, White & Blue Charcuterie Cups are one of my favorite easy party ideas because they look festive, fun, and honestly way fancier than the amount of effort they take.
I love recipes like this during the summer when it’s too hot to spend all day cooking here in Tucson. You can prep these ahead of time, keep them chilled, and set them out right before guests arrive. They’re perfect for the Fourth of July, Memorial Day, backyard BBQs, pool parties, fireworks nights, or even casual family movie nights with patriotic flair.
What I really love is that everybody gets their own little snack cup — no hovering over one giant tray trying to grab the last strawberry. Plus, the sweet and salty mix with the juicy watermelon, berries, crackers, salami, cheese, and trail mix makes these impossible to resist.
And let’s be honest… anything served in cute little cups automatically feels extra special.
These patriotic charcuterie cups are colorful, crunchy, sweet, savory, and incredibly easy to customize.
Ingredients:
6 large crackers
7 oz bag trail mix
12 slices salami
Watermelon slice
1 cup blueberries
3 strawberries, halved
2 oz monterey jack cheese
Instructions:
Cut 6 stars from cheese and watermelon using small star cutter.
Fold salami into ribbon shapes and skewer two slices per stick.
Add cracker to back of each cup.
Scoop trail mix into cups, saving some for support.
Add salami skewer to right side and watermelon skewer to left.
Fill around skewers with remaining trail mix.
Add blueberries, strawberry half, and cheese star.
Chill until ready to serve.
Serve cold and enjoy!
Clear plastic cups help show off all the colorful layers beautifully.
Swap monterey jack for white cheddar, mozzarella, or pepper jack if desired.
Add mini pretzels or popcorn for extra crunch.
Keep watermelon pieces dry with paper towels before assembling so cups stay fresh longer.
These are great for make-ahead entertaining — just keep chilled until serving time.
