A classic cookie that brings back the sweetest memories

Some recipes just feel like home.

Peanut Butter Blossoms are one of those for me — the kind of cookie that instantly takes you back to holiday baking, busy kitchens, and little hands waiting (not so patiently) for cookies to come out of the oven.

There’s just something about that soft peanut butter cookie with the chocolate kiss pressed right in the center… it’s simple, it’s classic, and it never gets old.

These are the cookies that show up at Christmas, family gatherings, school events — and somehow disappear just as fast as you make them.

And honestly? That’s how you know they’re a keeper.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter

  • ½ cup butter, room temperature

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1½ tsp vanilla

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour

  • ¾ tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp kosher salt

Topping:

  • Sugar + sprinkles

  • 60 Hershey Kisses

Instructions

  1. Cream together the peanut butter and butter until smooth.

  2. Mix in brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.

  3. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.

  4. Chill the dough for 1 hour.

  5. Roll dough into balls, coat in sugar or sprinkles, and place on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 8 minutes.

  6. Remove from oven, gently press a Hershey Kiss into each cookie, then return to the oven for 2–3 more minutes.

  7. Let cool slightly and enjoy.

Tips & Serving Ideas

Chilling the dough matters.

It helps the cookies hold their shape and bake evenly.

Press gently.

When adding the chocolate kiss, don’t push too hard or the cookie will crack too much.

Unwrap ahead of time.

Have all your Hershey Kisses ready to go so you can move quickly while the cookies are warm.

Perfect for:

  • Holiday baking trays

  • Cookie exchanges

  • Baking with kids or grandkids

  • A simple, feel-good dessert any time of year

A Little Kitchen Moment

If you’ve got little ones around… this is one of those recipes where they can help.

Rolling the dough, adding sprinkles, pressing the chocolate in — it’s messy, it’s fun, and those are the moments they remember.

And honestly… so will you 🤍
