Buttery, melty, and packed with flavor — the kind of recipe that disappears before you can grab seconds

There are recipes you plan ahead for…

and then there are recipes like this.

The kind you throw together because people are hungry right now — and somehow it turns into the thing everyone talks about after.

These sliders are that recipe.

Soft rolls, warm ham, melty cheese, and that buttery poppy seed topping that soaks into every bite… it’s simple, but it hits every time.

Perfect for game days, holidays, or those nights when you just want something easy that still feels a little special.

And fair warning — you might want to make a double batch.

Because these go fast.

Ingredients

Honey Mustard Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • ⅓ cup honey

  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp mustard

Poppy Seed Dressing

  • ½ cup melted butter

  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds

  • ½ tbsp honey mustard

  • ¼ tsp Worcestershire

To Assemble

  • 12 white rolls

  • Ham & white cheddar

  • Extra mayo & honey mustard

Instructions

  1. Mix together the honey mustard sauce until smooth.

  2. Whisk the poppy seed dressing ingredients in a separate bowl.

  3. Slice rolls and spread with sauces.

  4. Layer ham and cheese evenly.

  5. Drizzle dressing generously over the tops.

  6. Bake at 350°F for 12–15 minutes, until warm and golden.

Tips & Serving Ideas

Don’t skip the topping.

That buttery poppy seed layer is what takes these from good… to “who made these?!”

Make ahead friendly:

Assemble everything, cover, and refrigerate — then bake when ready.

Switch it up:

Try turkey, Swiss, or even a spicy mustard if you want a little kick.

Perfect for:

  • Game day spreads

  • Holiday appetizers

  • Potlucks

  • Quick family dinners

A Little Kitchen Moment

This is one of those recipes where you set the tray down…

and suddenly everyone’s hovering.

No plates yet. No forks. Just hands reaching in, grabbing one “real quick.”

And before you know it?

Half the pan is gone and someone’s already asking,

“Did you make more?”

Because the best recipes aren’t always complicated —

they’re the ones people can’t stop going back for. 💛
