Buttery, crispy, and loaded with garlicky flavor — the side dish that never gets left behind
There are some recipes that just belong on the table.
Garlic bread is one of them.
It doesn’t matter if it’s spaghetti night, soup night, or one of those “clean out the fridge” dinners…
if garlic bread shows up, suddenly the whole meal feels complete.
This is the kind of recipe that’s quick, simple, and always a crowd favorite.
And let’s be honest—half the time it disappears before dinner even starts 😄
Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (1 stick)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp kosher salt
8 slices white bread, hot dog or hamburger buns
2 Tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet.
In a bowl, mix butter, garlic powder, minced garlic, and salt until well combined.
Arrange bread on the baking sheet and spread the garlic butter generously over each piece.
Bake for 7–9 minutes, until edges are golden and slightly crisp.
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and let cool just slightly before serving.
Tips & Little Upgrades
Want it extra crispy?
Broil for the last 1–2 minutes—but keep a close eye so it doesn’t burn.
Make it cheesy
Add shredded mozzarella or Parmesan before baking for a melty upgrade.
Use what you have
This works just as well with buns, leftover rolls, or even sandwich bread.
A Little Kitchen Moment
This is one of those recipes that doesn’t need measuring cups once you’ve made it a few times.
A little butter, a little garlic, spread it on thick…
And somehow, it turns into the thing everyone remembers most about dinner.
Because sometimes it’s not the main dish—it’s the warm, simple extras that make the meal feel like home.
