Flaky, buttery, and filled with warm cinnamon apples — like mini pies you can’t stop grabbing

You know those desserts where you say,

“I’ll just have one…”

…and then somehow you’re back in the kitchen five minutes later?

Yeah. This is that recipe.

These little apple pie bites have everything you love about a classic apple pie—warm cinnamon apples, flaky crust, and that sweet caramel finish—but in a simple, pop-in-your-mouth version that feels just a little more fun.

They’re perfect for holidays, family nights, or honestly… just because you’ve got apples sitting on the counter and a craving you’re not ignoring.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 (17.3 oz) pkg frozen puff pastry sheets (1 sheet), thawed

  • 1 1/2 cups chopped apples

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 10 vanilla caramels, unwrapped

  • 3 Tbsp heavy cream

  • chopped toasted pecans

  • sea salt flakes

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Roll puff pastry into a 15x10-inch rectangle; cut into 24 squares.

  2. Press squares into a 1 3/4-inch muffin pan.

  3. Toss apples with sugar and cinnamon; spoon into pastry.

  4. Bake 15 min, until golden. Cool 5 min; remove from pan.

  5. Melt caramels and cream over low heat until smooth.

  6. Drizzle with caramel, add pecans, and finish with sea salt.

Tips & Little Upgrades

Best apples to use:

Go for Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Fuji—they hold up and bring great flavor.

Make it extra cozy:

Add a pinch of nutmeg or a splash of vanilla to the apples.

No pecans?

Skip them or swap for walnuts—or leave them off completely for a simpler bite.

Serve it warm

These are next-level when the caramel is still soft and gooey.

A Little Kitchen Moment

There’s something about warm apples and cinnamon that just feels like home.

And when you turn that into something quick, easy, and bite-sized?

That’s the kind of recipe that gets requested again… and again.

Don’t be surprised if these disappear before they even make it to the table.
